Meet Hans: Your Passport to Southern Japan’s Great Wilderness
Model: BMW F800GS (Alpine White & Black)
If you are coming to Japan to ride the "Big Three"—the Shimanami Kaido, the Shikoku Karst, and the Mt. Tsurugi Super Forest Road—then you need a partner that speaks the language of adventure. Meet Hans.
While smaller bikes are great for the city, Hans is a continental conqueror designed specifically for the vast, rugged landscapes of Shikoku and Okayama. He doesn't just ride the road; he masters the geography.
Conquer the "Switzerland of Japan": The Shikoku Karst
Imagine leaning into sweeping curves at 1,400 meters above sea level, surrounded by white limestone rocks and grazing cattle under a 360-degree mountain horizon.
The Hans Advantage: On the high-altitude Karst, the air is thin and the winds are strong. Hans’s 85hp parallel-twin breathes easily at these heights, providing steady, planted power that makes the climb feel effortless.
The Gateway to "Hidden Japan": The Iya Valley
Deep in the heart of Shikoku lies the Iya Valley, one of Japan’s last true wildernesses. This is a land of emerald-green rivers, ancient vine bridges, and the Mt. Tsurugi Super Forest Road—the longest unpaved mountain track in the country.
The Hans Advantage: This is where the 21-inch front wheel becomes your best friend. While street-biased bikes have to turn back when the pavement ends or gets broken by winter frost, Hans keeps going. He is built to glide over the ruts and rocks of Japan’s "Rindo" (forest roads) with professional-grade stability.
Island Hopping the Shimanami Kaido
Crossing the six massive suspension bridges of the Seto Inland Sea is a rite of passage for every rider.
The Hans Advantage: Crossing these bridges means facing high-altitude crosswinds from the Pacific. At 214kg, Hans is heavy enough to stay "locked-in" and stable, ensuring you can enjoy the stunning ocean views without fighting the handlebars.
Why Ride with Hans?
Hans is for the rider who wants no limits. Whether you’re cruising the high-speed Okayama Blue Line at sunset or navigating a misty, moss-covered temple path in the Tokushima mountains, Hans provides the premium comfort and mechanical "muscle" to ensure you never have to say "I can't go there."
Hans is ready for the Karst, the Coast, and the Caves. Are you?
