Meet Kurt: The Veteran Pathfinder
The BMW F800GS Trophy is a machine with a pedigree that few can match. While newer bikes focus on flashy screens and street-speed, Kurt is built for the grit, the dust, and the long, unpaved way around. Dressed in the exclusive Trophy livery—with its racing blue and white accents and bold red seat—he looks like he just rolled off the finish line of a global GS Challenge.
Kurt is for the rider who doesn't just want to see the mountains of Kyushu, but wants to climb right over them.
The Master of the "Rindo" (Forest Roads)
Kurt is the bridge between a heavy adventure tourer and a nimble dirt bike. With his signature 21-inch spoked front wheel, he doesn’t just "handle" off-road sections; he searches for them. He is the ideal partner for exploring the rugged, untouched interior of Shikoku or the volcanic trails of Tottori.
Why Kurt is your most reliable guide in Southern Japan:
The Shikoku Expedition: Head deep into the Iya Valley. Kurt’s large front wheel is the only way to comfortably navigate the mossy, single-track lanes and gravel detours leading to the ancient Vine Bridges (Kazurabashi). He turns "closed road" signs into the start of a new adventure.
The Volcanic Specialist: In Kyushu, Kurt shines on the back-side trails of Mount Aso. His engine delivers a predictable, linear "thump" that provides incredible traction on loose volcanic ash and gravel, making every climb feel like a victory.
Tottori’s Secret Trails: Beyond the famous Sand Dunes, Tottori is home to the Hyogo-Tottori forest roads. Kurt’s slim profile and high ground clearance make him the king of these narrow, technical mountain paths where larger bikes feel out of place.
Built-in Confidence: Featuring Enduro Electronic Suspension, Kurt allows you to stand on the pegs for hours, soaking up the landscape of Cape Sata without feeling the fatigue of a heavier machine. His under-seat fuel tank keeps the weight low, giving you a balance that feels like a natural extension of your own body.
When the pavement ends and the real heart of Japan begins, will you be the one turning back, or will you be the one standing on the pegs with Kurt as the sun sets over the caldera?
