Meet Shiro: The Island-Hopping Ace
Model: Honda CB400X (Pearl Glare White)
If your dream of Japan involves blue water, white sand, and the feeling of absolute freedom, meet Shiro. While the heavy liter-bikes are working hard to manage their weight, Shiro is dancing across the Shimanami Kaido with a lightness that makes every kilometer feel like a holiday. He is the most approachable, "no-stress" traveler in our fleet—perfect for the rider who wants to focus on the view, not the dashboard.
The Master of the Shimanami Kaido
The Shimanami Kaido is the "Mecca" of Japanese touring—60 kilometers of stunning suspension bridges connecting six islands across the Inland Sea.
The Shiro Experience: This route is famous for its dedicated "small bike" ramps and winding island bypasses. Shiro’s 400cc size is the "Golden Mean" for this journey. He’s powerful enough to cruise the high bridges with the big boys, but nimble enough to dive down the tight, spiraling ramps to find a hidden gelato shop on Ikuchi Island or a private beach on Omishima.
Cruising the Okayama Blue Line
The Okayama Blue Line is a scenic masterpiece that flows along the coastline toward the historic pottery town of Bizen.
The Shiro Experience: Shiro loves a flowing, rhythmic road. His parallel-twin engine is buttery smooth, providing just the right amount of "punch" to exit a coastal curve with a grin. Because he’s so balanced, you’ll find yourself looking at the shimmering oyster rafts in the bay rather than worrying about your gear selection.
The "Machinami" Specialist: Kurashiki & Tomonoura
Japan’s "Machinami" (historic streetscapes) are often incredibly narrow and crowded with pedestrians and cyclists.
The Shiro Experience: In a place like the Kurashiki Bikan District or the port town of Tomonoura (the inspiration for Ponyo), a big GS can feel like a bull in a china shop. Shiro is polite and quiet. His crisp white paint looks right at home against the traditional white-walled storehouses, and his tight turning circle means you can explore the deepest back alleys without ever breaking a sweat.
Climbing the "UFO Line" (Kamegamori)
When the road leaves the coast and heads for the sky, the UFO Line offers a ridgeline run that feels like riding on the edge of the world.
The Shiro Experience: At 1,700 meters, the road is often only one car wide with no guardrails. Shiro’s upright "Command Post" riding position gives you total visibility over the drop-offs. He’s light enough to change direction instantly if a local farmer’s truck appears around a blind corner, keeping your mountain adventure safe and serene.
Why Choose Shiro?
Shiro is for the soul-searcher. He is for the rider who wants a bike that is easy to park, easy to u-turn, and impossible not to love. He is the ultimate "vacation" bike—reliable, efficient, and bright enough to stand out in every photo you take from the top of Mt. Kirosan.
The tide is coming in and Shiro is ready to cross. Are you coming for the ride?
