Meet Yuki: The White Peak Scout
Model: Honda CB400X (Pearl Glare White)
If you want a bike that feels light, bright, and ready to climb into the clouds, meet Yuki. While the bigger bikes in our fleet command the highways, Yuki is the master of the "High-Altitude Horizon." Dressed in a crisp, brilliant white, he is the most user-friendly adventurer in our garage—perfect for the rider who wants a stress-free journey through Japan’s most dramatic landscapes.
The King of the Shikoku Karst
The Shikoku Karst is often called the "Switzerland of Japan." It’s a high-altitude plateau 1,400 meters above sea level, covered in white limestone rocks and grazing cattle.
The Yuki Experience: As you climb the steep, winding roads toward the Karst, Yuki’s white fairings blend perfectly with the limestone landscape. Because he’s a 400cc machine, he doesn't feel heavy or "top-heavy" in the tight hairpins. He’s light on his feet, making the ascent feel like a breeze rather than a workout.
Navigating the "Last Clear Stream"
The Shimanto River in western Shikoku is famous for its 47 Chinkabashi (submersible bridges). These are narrow, concrete bridges without railings, designed to stay underwater during floods.
The Yuki Experience: Crossing a bridge with no rails requires a bike you can trust implicitly. Yuki’s low-speed balance and smooth parallel-twin engine make these "tightrope" crossings feel safe and stable. You’ll have a front-row seat to the clearest turquoise water in Japan without ever feeling like the bike is fighting you.
The "Hidden Village" Specialist
Deep in the Iya Valley, the village of Nagoro (the famous "Scarecrow Village") is tucked away behind some of the narrowest, most winding roads in the country.
The Yuki Experience: Large tourers often have to turn back or struggle with oncoming local traffic on these cliffside "one-lane" roads. Yuki is narrow and agile. He can slip past a local bus or a logging truck with ease, ensuring you reach the most remote, traditional corners of Japan that the tour groups never see.
Coastal Calm: The Shimanami Kaido
Even on the massive bridges of the Shimanami Kaido, Yuki holds his own with a level of refinement Honda is famous for.
The Yuki Experience: With a tall, protective windscreen and a plush seat, Yuki turns the 60km island-hopping route into a relaxing cruise. He’s incredibly fuel-efficient, meaning you can spend your time stopping at every citrus stand and shrine along the way without constantly checking for a gas station.
Why Choose Yuki?
Yuki is for the serene explorer. He is for the rider who values ease of use, modern reliability, and a bike that feels "just right" the moment you sit on it. He’s the perfect size for Japan—big enough for the highway, but small enough to conquer the tightest mountain pass with a smile.
The peaks are clear and Yuki is ready to climb. Shall we head for the clouds?
